Now, many of you are familiar with this guy. Kaho is the father of this litter. It is his second. He is a proud papa and is ready to meet his youngsters. At this point, he is just getting a good smell.

Kayta is AKC pointed and a Can. Champion. This is her second litter with Kaho. Both litters have had 5 pups. Even though she is grey, she is red factored and that is why there is a large number of red pups in their litters.

Here is Kaho's Pedigree. He has had all his genetic clearances, OFA hips and thyroid, CERF eyes and is DNA registered. He is in the CHIC. He is AKC pointed and is learning rally and basic agility.

Here is Kayta's pedigree. She has also had all her genetic clearances, including her OFA hips and thyroid. Like Kaho, she has had her eyes cleared through CERF multiple times. She is also in the CHIC.

We knew early on that she was pregnant as a sonogram was done. Sonograms are not precise, but it does let you know pups are in there. Other early identification methods are palpation and blood tests.

This picture was taken about 4 days before we had "safe landing". Kayta was pretty big, getting quiet and doing a fair piece of "sitting", rather than standing. Her food had been increased and preparations had been made.

This was taken 2 days before. Kayta just wanted loving and her belly rubbed. She was always calm and relaxed; seeming to know she had been through this before and it would be ok.

Now, all of us, on the other hand, were basket cases! The last several days seemed endless! Watching, waiting, taking temperatures...OI VEY! Kaho and I needed major decompression time! But, we did get through it, & that is what counts.

Finally! The time comes! First puppy out without problems is a red boy. What a cutie with a beautiful mask and nice markings around his eyes. 15.5 oz.
