Here is another photo of Quista with her STAR puppy medal.
Ash is home with his Ch. crown and meeting his new step sister, Quista. They have become friends and enjoy playing together, enjoying lots of snow time in November.
Ash gets along with just about everyone and will be seeing his real sister, Haven, soon. Quista is leaving to try the circuit soon and Haven is coming home for a break.
The next 3 pics are the Coop X Kayta litter @ their 6 month birthday. Here is 'Cooper'. He is looking more and more like his dad, Coop.
Here is Nijaa, she is a spitting image of Kayta....and I mean spitting!
Quista, I joke that "One of these things is not like the other!" She had just spent a little time in the compost wheelbarrow celebrating...
She is fearless with most things and I find if I give her just a few seconds of inspection, she is off and running on her own.
Quista will play alone or with others in the water. It just doesn't matter...she's just happy in the pool!
Quista is a water gal. Give her a pool and the hose and she is all set for a hot summer day!
The next few pics show Haven and Quista on the playlet just having a ball. It didn't take these step sisters too long to get into action!
They went up-down-in-out and all around...almost too fast for me to snap pics. It is never ending fun for them!
Kaho is showing that he is really enjoying his laser treatments. He's had 5 now and is improving. I am lowering his Rimadyl now that he feels better. After 10 3/week treatments, they will start spacing them out. This has been a very good thing and I am glad I had it done for him.
Now, as Kaho's aged, he's developed some aches & pains. So, he's going through Cold Laser treatments to take down some inflammation, lower his pain and keep him feeling fit as a fiddle & doing fine for a 12 year old. Here, he's goggled up...reminds me of "Curse you, Red Baron!", or is that before your time? (Google it!)
He had a shoulder injury from his youth, so he gets his shoulders done. Both shoulders are considered "Zone 1". You would not do just 1 shoulder, as when a shoulder is injured, the other works harder to accommodate for the injury.
Kaho's biggest problem, however, is his back. He has a sore spot around his thoracic area and also his lumbar area. So he gets the Cold Laser in 2 Zones. Zone 2 is is upper back (the Thoracic are) and Zone 3 is the Lumbar/Sacral area. He's in the beginning stages now, so he gets it 2-3 x/ week, but once it gets going the treatments stretch out to 1/4-6 weeks. It has a great track record and I am very hopeful this will be helpful as my Kaho heads into his geriatric years.
Here's the finished product. Didn't take either one of them long to try it out. Here's Majic ready for his brush.
I am refinishing my grooming table that I keep outside. A very good friend put on new plywood and laminate. I used Thompson wood sealant around the edges and sanded the legs--finished with mat black Rustoleum paint. Of course, Haven & Majic thought they needed to help!
Ash & Haven both got their Star Puppy. It will be the first in a long line of achievements.
Here is Haven letting me know she wants to come in. She jumps, literally 3/4 to the top of the door. I guess she really wants to come in!
As Ash has grown (7 mo. now), and is shedding and rolling his coat, he is developing a rather interesting pattern...eyebrows! I don't know how long or if they will stay, but they are cool & unique!
