Haven’s AKC certified pedigree. She has also passed all her genetic clearances: hips, eyes and thyroid.
Here is Haven just 2 days before whelping. She kept those pups very well hidden and a nice trim figure throughout.
This is an interesting sonogram showing one pups’ 2 heart chambers. They were just a pumping away.
The vet used puppy cranial measurements to determine gestation dates. Acc. to the measurement, she was at day 60. 2 days later, she started labor.
3 gals! I call the litter “The Estrogen Express.”
All 3 made the trip and Haven was exhausted.
The first baby girl is black and weighs in @ 12 oz. on the nose. She came at 12:02 AM Sunday, the 7th.
The second gal is grey and bested her sister weight wise. She was 15 oz. and arrived @ 3:01 AM.
And not to be outdone, the last red gal arrived @ 3:45 and topped both her sisters @ 15.5 oz.
She rested for a long time and was given much uninterrupted sleep time.
But, after a good rest and with the sun rising, she started learning her new job. Since she is a first time mother, this is ALL new to her!
Everybody rests…in the front and in the back. Haven has quite the job keeping track of these three!
Haven’s registered name is Polar Safe Haven, but it seems the grey gal found a safe haven here and is taking advantage of it for a nice nap.
They sleep together, they sleep separate; when tired~ you just sleep.
There are many paths to the nipple, but this is a new one!
Pedicure day and everyone got their front nails clipped. I get them used to it early, so they will accept it throughout their lifetime.
I just take the very tip off, being careful not to get near the quick. There is a little ‘hook’ on the end of the nail, and that is what I clip off, at this stage.
Then, the pups get a nice little paw rub to finish off their time with me. I like to make it a good positive experience.
Pups are about 4 days old and socialization has begun. Haven is beginning to realize that I will not let anyone steal away her babes and that friendly pals are ok to handle them for short periods of time.
Start them right out with men and women. They need to get used to various peoples’ individual scents and the way different people handle them.
Once socialization starts, it doesn’t stop. Anyone who comes to my house doesn’t get out without a few minutes of puppy time. It goes with the territory!
Quista, Ash and Majic have all been checking out the whelping box. Haven watches quietly. She is just inside the corner keeping vigil. Once the puppies really start moving around, they will REALLY be interested!
Well, 1 week old on Valentine’s Day! Everyone is growing like a weed and wants to “Bee somebody’s baby!”.
The black gal has gained over 1# and is now 1# 14.5 oz.
All are moving right around and the grey gal has even been up on all 4’s several times this first week!
She is a whopping 2#, doubling her weight in 1 week.
The red gal just can not be outdone and it seems that there is a race between these two.
Don’t let the yawn fool you…Her weight doubled, too. She is 2#, also! Mom must be doing something right.
All the pups are being handled daily multiple times and getting used to it. All body parts are being touched, heads, tails, bellies, feet, toes, ears, nose. No body part is off limits.
If you know me or follow this site, you know how much I LOVE genetics. Well, here is Kayta! I see her sleeping in so many of her pups. She always sleeps in such awkward positions, but always on her back with her head tilted. Haven does it, too. Quista, too!
Here’s just a close up of the little red gal. I just love seeing how this passes down through the pups. Just love it! Everybody gets lots of individual attentions daily and loves human snuggling time. They got another nail trim, including back feet today.
There is still much sleeping time going on, but it is very active sleeping. You can just see those neurons connecting. The pups are growing so fast…they don’t look like little guinea pigs anymore. They are starting to look like puppies.
Every pup scoots and walks multiple steps throughout the whelping box. Lots of squeaking going on as they are trying to find mom or each other to snuggle with. Once eyes are open, toys will be introduced. There is only one in there now, for Haven.
Quista is so interested. She can hardly stand it! She comes out of her crate in the morning and just goes and looks to see if they are still there!
This is the position I like to see the pups sleep in…with their hips all stretched out. They even sleep on their backs in the same position.
Here is a photo of the red gal just flipped over snoozing with those hips extended. Again, I see Kayta sleeping with that crazy head tilt…Genetics~ gotta love it!
In my opinion, there is just something about baby puppy pads. It is the same thing about human baby feet and hands. I just love ’em.
Off and running…er, should I say; walking. The gals are beginning their “Week of Firsts”. This is when it seems that everyday, something new happens and it is a first!
The grey gal is the first to switch from scooting to walking. But, I have no doubt that the other two will not be far behind. Right now, she goes about 10 steps, then a break. That will quickly be increasing as her stamina increases.
All eyes are open. Here is the black gal with both eyes open for the first time today. Both are bright blue, but whether they will stay is unknown @ this point. Time will tell.
The red gal has double blues @ this point, too. Now, things are blurry, blurry, blurry and they struggle to see what is around the. All have gotten their first look @ mom and me, too!
Ditto for the grey gal…light blues all around. Now that the pups eyes have opened, I will start to introduce toys. They will start to come in tomorrow. So, the week of FIRSTS has begun! All Aboard!–the ride is beginning!
Visitors need to make friends with mama, too. This is especially true with first time moms, like Haven, who are learning the ropes.
And, don’t forget to socialize the pups with children. It is easy just to socialize them with adults, but in the real world, they will be faced with all ages and stages of youth. So, start them getting used to everyone.
Well, 2 weeks (15 days) already! The week of FIRSTS has begun with eyes opening. Ears have opened, too, and all react to sound. The black one is 2# 15 oz., which is right on track for her weight right out of mom.
And another FIRST, first up on all 4’s and walking (albeit wobbly, but cute as the Devil!). They walk a few steps, fall over, get up and repeat. So adorable and you can just see them learning, learning, learning. This red gal weighs in @ 3# 9.5 oz. today.
Another FIRST…first growl. I am not sure who did it, but I heard it. Also, the first puppy bark. There are a myriad of sounds beginning to emanate from the whelping box. The grey girl is 3# 5.5 oz. on the scale a few minutes ago.
I am just thinking happy thoughts trying to get through muddy season, so why not flowers? I added 2 spring photos~~one with everyone snoozing and
one with every one waking up. Everyday, the blurriness is going away and I see them walking with more purpose towards each other and mom. They are moving in the right direction. I will probably put their first video up next week.
Another FIRST! It is the nose game. Her is how it starts. The pups have to be developed enough to be able to decipher themselves from others. This happens about 2 weeks of age. As you can see, the pups now realize there are “others” in the whelping box, and they are eyeing each other up. The nose game has begun!
Looks like the red gal is the first to check out the nose. She has to see what is going on with this ‘protrusion’. Ok, I got your nose…The game begins.
It looks like the red gal is doing a more in-depth investigation–more like I have your whole muzzle! This is how the pups learn; through their mouth.
And now (not to be undone) it is “I got your nose back!” It is such fun to watch these pups grow and develop. But, this playtime is short-lived. They are just 2 weeks old, for Heaven’s Sake, and nap time comes quickly after this very short (but wonderful and intriguing) game. Wonder what FIRST will be on target for tomorrow?
Another FIRST! We had our first jailbreak. I awoke to find 2 pups out of the whelping box happily nursing on mom outside of the box. The black gal was just getting ready to scoot over the top and join in. I hurried over to get the camera and up jumped up mom. So, sorry about the blurriness of the photo, but you get the idea and it was a hurried shot. As you can see, the 2 gates are @ the ready and the bottom one will be slid in today as once they get out…they learn fast!
Everyone still has blue eyes, but it is so early and they may not stay. Pups are seeing better and things are becoming less blurry. They are walking better and with more purpose.
3 week birthday already and time is speeding by! And, it is toy time!, so another FIRST…brand new toys with all different squeaks. Each toy in this grouping has a different sound. Pups are now beginning to be interested in other things beside mom! Weights are : The black gal : 4# 3.5 oz. The grey gal: 4# 12 oz. The red gal: 5# on the nose!
Socialization is on ongoing process, but mom always is never too far away.
Newer friends are starting to stop in, which is a GREAT thing! Mom usually barks, but settles down after a few minutes when she realizes all is well. Pups have acclimated very well to being handled by various folks.
You can see dog lovers a mile away and these pups can always feel the love! Later this week, the pups will be on their second road trip to the vet for worming, a health check up and even more socialization away from home.
My cousins stopped in and did some wonderful socializing with the pups. I have named all the pups. The black gal is Tseika, which is pronounced Seeka. She is named after Tseiko, who was one of my special guys who died at 17 years of age a few years ago. The red gal is Mauja. That is pronounced with the soft j, which is like a ‘dj’. It is the Athna Athabaskan word for soft deep snow, which her white fur reminds me. The grey gal’s call name is Cinza. So, for me they all have call names. Their new owners absolutely can change them, though. I just need to call them something beside their color. Now, on to their registered names.
Quista is still so intrigued and now it goes both ways! Here the red gal (now named Tseika (pro Seeka) gives Quista a good smell and starts walking towards her…
…and she gets even closer as Quista gets closer. The gate is still between them, but a nose to nose meeting will occur shortly!
Another FIRST! Teeth have made an appearance and have gotten through the gums. That means chewing has begun in earnest…on anything they can get their little mouths on. Here are the uppers.
And, here are the lowers. I start working with their mouths, so they will accept having their muzzles, noses, teeth and gums handled. Like everything else, start early and often.
Here is just a shot of the closed mouth. The correct bite of the Siberian Husky is called the Scissor Bite. Anything else is a flaw. That is why judges check the Siberian’s mouth and teeth in the dog show ring.
Socialization is my mantra! The pups had a bunch of it today and, as you can see, are ‘dogged tired’. Truly, I love to see them be comfortable in all folk’s arms and these gals are!
I told you that the nose to nose meetings would be soon and today was the day. The pups met Uncle Ash and Aunt Quista! Tseika seemed most curious with Cinza having her back for moral support.
She got a little closer and everyone was happy, curious and calm. There was lots of smelling going on, that is for sure.
Auntie Quista was nice and quiet and Uncle Ash was doing his comforting low talk. Both were so happy and welcoming to the new little lives.
…and it was reciprocated with husky smooches on both ends. A great first meeting. Now, where was Mauja, you say? She was doing her typical Siberian behavior and just hanging out of camera range…taking it all in and waiting for the next meeting to be in the shot.
Here is the first of 2 photos of Mauja @ 4 weeks old. She is doing great, getting into trouble with her sister and having a ball growing up.
Another photo of her with a stuffie. She has developed a small black freckle between her eyes, much like her sister Tseika, but much smaller. It came out day before yesterday. Her weight is up to 5# 5.5 oz.
Cinza is adventurous and it will probably by a tie as to which one gets out of the whelping box first! Everyone is well aware there is a big wide living room outside the box and is anxious to explore.
So on Cinza’s 4 week old birthday, she was weighed, too and is 5# 18.5 oz. Everyone is gaining weight proportionally and mom is still nursing.
Tseika is probably the most adventurous, but not by much. She was first to go visit Aunt Quista and Uncle Ash. But, personalities are just now starting to come out and should blossom within the next few weeks quickly.
Tseika is still @ the top of the ladder, weight wise, with today’s weight at 6# 4.1 oz. But, I would assume that as she was the largest puppy @ birth. Everyone had their first sip of water today (another FIRST!); so things are progressing as you would expect!
Another FIRST! The gals are starting to drink water. I don’t leave the water dish in the whelping box, though, it ends up spilled with many wet pups. They get a drink several times a day now.
So, does it look like these pups will be ready to eat real food soon? I think so, too!
They are meeting slowly @ and every adult Siberian. Today, they met Majic. He was very calm and interested, as were the pups.

It’s singing time! “One of these things is not like the other. One of these things, really DOES belong. Can you tell me which thing is not like the other, by the time I finish my song?”
MMM…real food. Nothing more to say.
5 weeks old and happy birthday to you all. No individual photos today, it is moving day! Moving on up! This is their transition room while I take down their whelping box and move it to the new room. It is like a huge playpen. Here is where the adventure box will be set up this weekend.
Here are the new digs. WOW! Twice the size and lots more room to move around and play. The front room is where all the toys will be and where the pups will eat. The pups are still used to toileting in the box, so that will stay until toilet training starts in earnest in a few weeks.
Here the pups are doing some exploring and getting used to the new sounds and smells. It is all good! Mauja’s weight today is 6# 5.5 oz., Cinza’s weight is 6# 15.5.5 oz. and Tseika’s is 7# 5.5 oz.
I thought I’d do some eye close-ups, as they are just SO blue. Here is Majua with her double baby blues. Now, realize that blue eyes is just window dressing, it is neither a plus, nor a fault.
All the pups just genetically have double blues this time around. It is a roll of the dice. Some folks prefer blues, and I absolutely know some that do NOT. It is a personal preference. This is Cinza @ 5 1/2 weeks of age. By now, if eyes were going to change they would be starting to change.
Here is Tseika with her close up, as well. Eyes can also be brown, amber, bi (1 of two different colors) or parti (1 solid colored and 1 that is 2 different colored). Each variety is totally acceptable. Eye color, again, is window dressing. You should want temperament, conformation, health and how well this puppy fits into your home and life.
From left to right, Tseika, Cinza and Mauja…they will be 6 weeks old tomorrow. Then, they get their first vaccinations day a few days later. That is a milestone because it marks the day they can start going out into the big wide world!
The adventure box is finished. It will go into the playpen and is ready for tomorrow. Each of the pups had a quick sneak peek @ it, but tomorrow will certainly be a new big adventure for them. It will also be their first day on video.
6 week old photos for St. Patty’s Day! The pups are certainly becoming more active and much more vocal, esp. when they are hungry and thirsty. Mauja weighs in @ 6# 13 oz. today.
Pups are doing great with their weaning and are not nursing much now. They are eating several small meals a few times a day. No bowel troubles either and that is a good thing! Cinza is @ 7# 9 oz. First vaccinations tomorrow!
Tseika continues to lead the pack, weight wise-as expected. She is 7# 14.5 oz. She is a big player and always ready for a fun play date. Everyone had their first time in the adventure box yesterday and the video is @ the bottom of the page. A great time was had by all, no fear, just wonderful Siberian curiosity. Who can ask for more?
So, today the gals went to one of the Nursing Homes that all the adult Siberians visit monthly. They were a big hit and behaved beautifully! Each one got a whole passel of love from lots of staff and residents.
It was just the luck of the draw that the two photos I took of the staff happened to be of Mauja. But, never fear, Tseika and Cinza did not get slighted in any way! There is a new video @ the bottom of their breakfast taken this morning before their big first nursing home visit.
There are so many new experiences starting @ this age and today it was an ice cube. Those are always favorites of most Siberians and by the enthusiastic reception of these pups, they are no different. Each got one and once they realized it was a “good thing”, they were all in and took them to their receptive corner; not to be shared! Here is Cinza checking it out.
After several licks…cold, wet, can swallow it, can chase it, can play with it…all characteristics treasured by the true Siberian!…
…she devoured it. And so did the other two. And then they looked for more, but like so many wondrous things~ they were gone! (for now).
It is Easter and the girls turn 7 weeks old today-a double banger! Their Easter basket is filled with all kinds of Siberian goodies and every one was interested! Mauja weighs 8# 1.5 oz. today. She is growing @ her usual steady rate.
Cinza is giving you her coy look. I have several photos of her doing this. She is such a vamp! Make sure your Siberian or dog has only safe treats in their Easter Basket-Made in the USA, no hooves and nothing on a recall list. Do your treat homework. Cinza weighs in @ 8# 12.5 oz. today. (P.S. There is a 3rd video up @ the bottom of the page today w/ the pups first time in the ball pit~fun!)
Treats are wonderful and every human and dog LOVE them. But, don’t overdo it. Too many can not only make your Siberian fat (and ‘too husky’), but can be hard on their wanting to eat their regular food. And, remember, a treat is a treat to a dog-no matter the size. Break them into small pieces. No need to give them one HUGE treat, give them several small ones. I generally save treats for training and special things, not just a daily occurrence. Tseika’s weight is 9# 0.5 oz.
The pups are used to the vacuum. As you can see, it is on and they are just carrying on and paying it no mind. Tseika is in the corner watching me take the photo and the other gals are continuing their ball pit play.
This photo and the next are just a few close-ups of the girls in the ball pit relaxing. You should all know that this is Mauja by now.
Tseika and both her sisters play really hard in the pit, but also like the air filled balls. There are 300 balls in the small swimming pool. I’ve had to wash them once already…did it in the bathtub.
This trip today was their first without mom. They did great! I have not split them in the car yet, but that will be the next step as I have 3 crates in the car. With puppies, it is baby steps…one @ a time; one success@ a time. If you have failure, go back one step and try again. No problem with failure, just a problem with refusing to try again.
Today’s trip was to the local beauty show. The pups not only did great on the way there, but well in the shop. Here is the owner, Sally, with Cinza…
…and outside the beauty shop with our good friend, Jackie, and new friend, Joe. We had a wonderful time! Then, the pups had a nice jaunt around town while Jackie and I did some errands.
This morning everyone got new toys. It is hard to keep these gals interested, so I am into toy rotation. Old ones out and washed, new ones in. Right now the toys of choice are the unstuffables with multiple squeaks and a few crinkles thrown in.
Today was the first time the gals were ‘free’ in the gated area. They loved it (and what Siberian wouldn’t!). The words of the day were “run, sniff, chase, repeat”. Ah, the life of a puppy!

More new things today! Pups are starting to eat separately in their crates. Once done, they get some water, too. Feeding them in crates is a great way to introduce them to crates, as it pairs something they love with the crate. Time in the crate will slowly increase. Right now, I am transferring the clicker response to the crate, as well.
All these pups are just lovers and here is Cinza getting some loving.
Today several new things happened. The first was that they rode in individual crates in the car on their way to my friend’s home. First, we stopped @ the transfer station and dropped off my garbage. Lots of interesting sights and smells there! Once @ our final destination, they met Barb’s Goldens: Song and Deacon. You can see Song in the photo. We stayed about an hour until everyone was pretty well petered out and slept all the way home.
We had snow and today was the pups introduction. It was a big hit and it didn’t take long before playtime had begun! First, though, was the taste test. MMM, tastes good. And, they discovered that grass was below it (who knew?). So, that was even better! They even found some frozen water and had some ice. Here, Cinza and Mauja are enjoying some well deserved outside late winter playtime.
They run together, they run alone, they just run. Here is Tseika doing what she was bred to be.
The other day, everyone was introduced to the small slide. They all went down it (but there was no snow…in fact, it was about 60 outside that day). Today, Cinza is deciding to go back up it. (1 of 3 pics.)
Here she is mid way, just a motoring as if she had done this a million times. Actually, it is her first.
And, she scaled it! Big Whoop for the Cinza gal. Every accomplishment gains confidence for future endeavors, so I give them many small hurdles to cross @ this stage.
For our second trip outside in the snow, I let mama Haven play with the pups. Now, Haven is one agile gal and loves to play on all the equipment, so she headed right for the little slide that was left up all winter. The pups headed right after her and I got this great play shot.
Here is Haven playing with Cinza as she is making her way up the slide. A fun time was had by all! Since it was such a tiring day I didn’t take individual birthday photos, but here are their weights today; Mauja: 9# 8 oz.- Cinza: 9# 15 oz.- Tseika: 10# 0.5 oz. There is a 2 minute video of their first snow play day below. It is the last one in line.
Here is mom and the pups playing out in the snow and slush. I call it snush. It was the first day the pups got dirty and had to be wiped down. I believe dogs need to be dogs and that includes getting dirty, but that has to start after vaccinations have taken hold. It is hard to believe they had energy left to play outside as before this, they had gone to the nursing home for socialization. It was great fun for the pups and residents alike!
The yard near the house is still shaded and still has snow, but further away is wetter and that is snush and more muddier. Dogs seem to like the mud, me; not so much.
Mauja is getting dried off and wrapped in a warm towel. It feels good after a fun romp outside…

…and last, but never least, is Tseika all warmed up and being dried off in her warm towel, too.
The pups are being clicker trained, as I have said in earlier posts. Here is just a still showing how I do it. They are given a hand sign for sit, when they all sit, I click then they are given what they want (water, food, toy). They are positively trained.
Today we started roadwork. The pups have been out by the road several times getting used to cars, trucks, road noises and smells, etc. But today, we took our first 1:1 road walk. It was a pretty long walk and we met several cars and trucks that were quite courteous to us.
On the first half of the walk, I let @ pup pretty much have their head, go in & out of my feet, get comfortable and play around. But, for the second half, it was a bit more structured on my left and moving right along. These two photos are Tseika, of course.
We do some clicker training everyday, so the pups are pretty acclimated to it. They even see me reach for it sometimes and their buns hit the floor. They know it is paired with something good, and THAT is a good thing.
9 weeks! Where has the time gone? The pups are learning a new skill~climbing! They haven’t climbed out yet, but it is close…so close. Here is Tseika and Mauja showing off their latest accomplishment. Weights @ 9 weeks: Tseika 12# 11 oz. Mauja: 11# 5.5 oz.
And, here’s Cinza showing off her climbing skills! She doesn’t like to be outdone by her sisters. Her weight today is 12# 9 oz.
I added this as it is just a nice frontal photo of the pups climbing skills. The Siberian in the front is Haven. All the pups got their microchips last Saturday and didn’t even blink an eye. They are all staunch little gals. 9 week vaccinations come tomorrow. They are growing up quickly and turning into wonderful Siberian Huskies.
Here we are getting ready to go to Tommy’s for our show evaluation. I decided to take mom as it was a long trip; about 7 hours total. But, they came through it like the champs I know they are! It was a smooth ride down and back for everyone.
Tommy and the pups. He loved them all and they loved him back. There was not one instant of reservation. They ran right up to him and smothered him with kisses. He said that he could see they were well socialized, as are all my litters. That is always so nice to hear! Then we got down to watching each one and talking about @ one. Nothing is perfect and everyone, dogs and people, have + and -; that’s what make them complete and whole.
I can’t believe 10 weeks! But, here we are. I decided to do a threesome as it may be the last time I can get a triple shot. Weights now are Mauja: 13# 0.5 oz., Cinza and Tseika are tied @ 13# 12 oz. each.
Cinza has left for her new home in New York. Her pick up day turned out to be a long and tiring one and she was a very tired Siberian when she finally started on her new journey. I have already heard from them and she is settling in just fine. She has lots of Siberians in her extended family and they can not wait to meet her.
Haven has a habit of going around the house (when the pups are in the play area) and bringing them EVEN MORE toys to play with. Sometimes they are from the enlarged play/whelping box-sometimes from the dog’s toy chest and sometimes she even steals them from the other dog’s crates. In this photo she went into Majic’s crate and took his enormous elk horn that was in there while he was outside. She then jumped into the play area with elk horn in mouth and gave it to Tseika and Mauja. She still takes such good care of her babes.
Tseika and Mauja had another exciting day today. First they went on several errands with me for the firehall. Each had their own crate for this trip. There were many stops and goes, get in’s and get outs but they were splendid, just taking it all in and enjoying being along for the ride. Then we went to Jackie’s for a rest stop and both pee’d outside, which is a very good thing! After that we went inside for some time with the Golden Girls (Cinny and Reba) and their cousin Xandaar. BUT, the best thing was group training when I had all 5 do a group sit for a treat. That was stupendous! And, lastly, the pups had their FIRST real treat, other than pieces of puppy kibble. It was Charley Bears and they loved them. Came home and got this duo group sit with a few more Charley Bears. A great day all around!
Tseika has taken off on her new adventure, as well. She has ‘flown the coop’ to the Northeast with a wonderful family, 2 and 4 legged! I have high hopes of seeing her in the show ring when she grows up, but regardless the future is bright for all these pups!
So, yesterday and today Mauja went to college and had a wonderful time. She not only met many, many students, but spent time with Reba, Cinny and Xandaar, too!
From the time we walked into the library until the second we walked out, she had her tail & ears up, active, interested and so curious about this new place and adventure. Yes, she became tired and hot, but not so much that she wanted to leave. Mauja is a trooper!
She showed her “sit” on command, not only for me, but for some of the students. And paired with this went more treats than I can count!
She was held, loved and petted and just ate it all up! She repaid all the student’s love with her own Siberian puppy smooches which were gladly received.
She happily made the rounds, in and out of the people she didn’t know-had never seen and met each with a wagging tail and a happy face. As a breeder, my heart can ask for no more.
I want to thank @ and everyone of you for helping to socialize Mauja. You were all invaluable in making her grow to be a happy, healthy Siberian. Husky Hugs to all of you!
So, spring is springing! That means the pool is coming out and it is Mauja’s first experience with it. Her first response is to bark @ the new creature!
Now, the barking ends and the exploration begins…oh…a shadow in here, too!

OK, time to get in and check it out.
Now, the eyes closed test. Still feels good on my paws. That is a good sign.
I can see stuff on the bottom…blades of grass…dirt….this could be fun!
I think the final decision is a positive “YES”. Can’t wait for another warm day! PS. Mom got the tunnel out and I have had a ball with running the zoomies back and forth through the tunnel.
Mauja’s enjoys going through the tunnel and sometimes goes through @ light speed, and sometimes just saunters. Today is a sauntering day, as it is a little warm and sunny. Mauja seems to be a cool dog and isn’t too excited about the heat…much like me!
The tunnel is quite long…19’8″…and she will go through it not only straight, but curved. She’s a trooper!
Today was Mauja’s last day @ one of the nursing homes. She has been coming here since she has started her vaccinations and they have become quite fond of the whole litter! I have taken photos of the staff with her and the residents, too. Can’t put up the resident photos, but have sent them back to the residents and they LOVE them. Today was only a very few minutes of work…then lots of loving, pics and the sad good bye.
Everyone is so surprised to see how she has grown up and grown into her head and facial markings. Pups, like kids, do grow up! This nursing home has even made a beautiful poster board in the activity room of many of the photographs of all the pups. It is so nice to see! I have a feeling some of these will be on there next time we come! This home is near the lake and they have a decorative pier on the front lawn. I took a pic of Mauja on it. She is becoming quite the model, as are the majority of Amarok’s Siberians.
Mauja is spending her last full day here @ Amarok. Tomorrow she goes off on her new journey to her forever home. So, it was fitting she had some playtime with the Majic Man. He is significantly bigger and stronger than she, so he is outside the fence, but it didn’t stop the fun! Here he is looking for her IN the tunnel. Wrong!
She just loves all the dogs, whether gals or guys and they love her, too. Honestly, after just a few minutes to compose herself with any new friends, she jumps right into playtime.
And, it doesn’t take him long to join in. Pups (and babies) always bring out the youth in all of us!
So, today is the BIG DAY and she is off on a wonderful new adventure with a fabulous new family with a great 4 footed friend that she gets to know. She will be living in NYS, too! I know she will have a spectacular life just like all her sisters have. I love each and every one of you.
